Checking Silverlight Migration to Moonlight

We are creating a Silverlight project and are wondering how we can test / check whether it will work on Moonlight. From the usual .Net in Mono, there is the Mono Migration Analyzer , which generates a report on which methods are missing in Mono to provide full support.

Are there any similar tools from Silverlight to Moonlight?

As I know, they are not there, and the event, in my opinion, will not be.

The moonlight situation is a bit more complicated. With mono, you only test clr methods against the standard. This is pretty easy.

Moonlight 1.0 is only a stable version and should be 100% compatible with Silverlight, XAML is covered, but of course there are some errors, the only comparison on this page is: http://go-mono.com/moonlight/MoonlightStatus.aspx .

Moonlight 2.0 is in beta testing, there is a clr part that can be checked with moma in accordance with the mono version on which it is based, because binary files are deleted only by the mono linker. The API will be almost 100% if it is not fully completed. The rest is the same as with Moonlight 1.0. The status page is here: http://go-mono.com/moonlight/MoonlightStatus.aspx?v=2

As Jaken said, 2.0 is in beta. The best way to test is to install moonlight on a test field and manually test your site.

If it were me, I would create a virtual machine with some Linux + Firefox flavor and install the beta from my download site
