How to contact Win CE device connected by usb

Hey.

I am trying to establish a connection between a desktop PC and a Windows CE 5.0 connected usb (cradle).

I feel that I am missing something obvious, because I cannot find how to establish a connection between them. What namespace should I look for? I just want a simple connection: plug in, exchange some data, disconnect. There are more than enough sockets, but what address should I get? The one assigned by the usb connection on the laptop is not available on the desktop machine.

Communication should start from a desktop PC. My Pocket PC is running Windows CE 5.0 with the .NET Compact Framework 2.0

Please direct me in the right direction :)

You have an ActiveSync connection with your device. If you do, use OpenNETCF desktop communication . This is really what you are looking for.

Hmm, it looks like the mobile device will not appear in FileOpenDialog.

If you can create and use a server-side desktop application, connect it to the network. You can transfer whatever you want.
