IPhone Programming: How much data can I store in my Directory Directory application (root folder)?

The reason I'm asking is my application, which allows users to cache map fragments. Does anyone know the real amount of how much data I can allow them to store?

You can store as much as you like until you finish flashing. Having said that, your users probably won't like it if you start eating all the space on your phone.

Also, make sure you put it in the Cache folder and not in the documents. The Documents folder will be copied when syncing with iTunes, but not in the Cache folder. If there is a ton of data in the Documents folder, it will significantly slow down iTunes sync.

About a year ago, a restriction on the size of the 2Gb application was indicated, but it will be difficult for you to find an β€œofficial” announcement of such, even on the Apple website, or discussion forums there

Considering that 2Gb is very happy for the mobile application, caching and all

I do not know any quota for applications that use a writable area, but it would be easy enough to check.
