S3 cloudfront lists all content in the recycle bin for anonymous users

Question

Anonymous users can browse our public distributions or s3 folders and view the list (xml) of all files.

We have read rights. Can anyone recommend how to prevent users from viewing the list of files in the bucket while maintaining access and downloading of individual files.

Removing public read access to the bucket, but allowing the public reading of individual files to block file transfer, but still allow access to files for anonymous users.
