Paypal recurring payments

I have a product that has a one-time installation cost, and then it will be deducted due to the use of the client from his account. I shut down PayPal for a one-time installation cost, which is fixed. But I have a problem with subtracting the following months, which our website will calculate and subtract from the PayPal website. When a client gives his credit card and other information, from another month it will not be necessary to collect this information. I want to deduct money from my account without entering the payer.

Is it possible? How?

The last time I looked (about a year ago), it seemed impossible. Instead, I decided to use Click and Buy , they have a richer set of functions regarding recurring payments.

This is now possible using the new API that paypal has developed on x.com. You can authorize a certain amount first, and then use this permission to receive payments from users as they use your website.

I'm not sure how you will do this with Paypal, but it should be possible. The terminology you are looking for is a "recurring payment." There are potential complications, such as problems with reaching the card expiration date or loss and reissue (for example, changing the card number), but most payment processors can deal with these problems.

Typically, a recurring payment through PayPal is processed using a PayPal subscription and recurring payments, which takes care to automatically publish your customers on a periodic basis, without requiring any action from the client.

However, the only way to change the price of a recurring payment after it has already begun is to create a “change button” that requires interaction with the client and is not very suitable for your scenario (see this thread ). You can also ask your question in the Paypal developer community forums.

Good luck

How about using the Billing Agreement (the list of payments on your PayPal profile), like the one that uses iTunes and woot.com. I don’t know too much about this from the point of view of the seller, but as a customer, I know that as soon as I authorize Apple / Woot, they can charge my PayPal account without personally communicating with PayPal. And I can cancel the agreement at any time.
