For users who need write access to the App_Data folder for Elmah, to write error files

I published my site and an exception is thrown, but error files are not generated in the App_Data folder. I am wondering if he will have write access to the folder.

The documentation says that the ASP.Net process requires write access, but is not sure what is meant by this. Can someone tell me which user needs the rights to this folder?

UPDATE: I found that the ASP.Net process in Win 2003 is a NETWORK SERVICE user. It is right?

On Windows Server 2003 (IIS6 +) and above, this is the NETWORK SERVICE. In IIS 5 and below, this is an ASPNET user account that needs the required access.

This is regardless of which user is the application pool identifier in which your application is running. This will usually be a network service, but it may be a different account if your hosting administrator has configured it this way.
