How to enable shared SSL in IIS7 with a self-signed certificate?

I created a self-signed certificate in IIS7. Then I exported this certificate to .pfx and then installed it in the IE browser of the client computer. Then I installed "Require Client Certificate" in the IIS server configuration. When I try to visit a site with IE, a dialog box is selected for me to select a certificate, but there are no certificates in this dialog box. When I click "OK" without selecting any certificates, I get a 403 forbidden error. How can I do this job? Appreciate the help in advance.

What happens if you do not install "Require a client certificate"? If you get the page "There is a problem ...". Then there is a problem with an Internet Explorer that does not trust your certificate. If he does not trust him, he will not use it for authentication (I think).
