Skip jsf lifecylce phase

Question

How can I shorten the jsf loop time so that the response appears before any model updates? The diagram on page 59 of this JSF Spec V1.2 RevB document shows that you can skip the Apply Requests phase directly to the Failover phase. How should I do it? I connected to PhaseListener, but not sure if I can use it for this or not. Thanks, Ben Anderson

Call the renderResponse method from the context.

FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().renderResponse(); 

The life cycle will skip the answer as soon as the current phase is over.
