Purple prices, including tax

I created my products so that their price includes tax.

However, when I get to the Checkout page, tax is added to the price of the product. Where really it should be only as a resume.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Your configuration must have the correct settings.

Look in the section "System / Configuration / Sales / Tax / Calculation"

There are two important options here:

  • Catalog prices include taxes
  • Shipping price includes tax.

They must be set to the same value.

If you write your prices for goods, including taxes, then these parameters should be set to yes.

At a high level, the answer is to not set your prices, including tax. Magento expects you to set prices without tax. All calculations in the system will be based on this.

If you want prices to be displayed with tax, you must redefine and / or create new Blocks and phtml templates that display price information. You want to change what is shown to the user, and not change what is used in the system calculations.

You need to find the appropriate location in price.phtml, which displays the price and uses a similar line of code to display the JUST price of the product without any taxes.

/application/design/interface/(your_store)/(your_template)/template/catalog/product/price.phtml

 <?php echo Mage::helper('core')->currency($_price,true,false) ?>

Go into your tax rules and delete them all. If there are no tax rules, he cannot levy a tax.

To set all your prices as a figure excluding TAX is completely inoperative, and I don’t understand why it was suggested.

If I have a book in my store in the UK and a customer from the UK buys it, then there is no VAT on it. If someone from Denmark buys it, then the tax rate is 10%.

You cannot install the product in the amount excluding TAX, because it simply will not work. I would set the price at £ 10 and expect tax rules, etc. They will understand that an order from British customers will show a tax of £ 10, but a customer order from Denmark will show a tax of £ 0.91, it should still be £ 10 in all cases.

Or did I miss this moment?
