How do I change the color of a text label when sending an EM_SETCUEBANNER message?

When you send an EM_SETCUEBANNER message, you get a gray text signal in your edit control. How to change text label color in Win32 / C?

Editing controls do not support custom banner colors. You will need to subclass the Edit control and configure it manually to get this effect.
