The best way to get a credit score (e.g. FICO) programmatically

Has anyone used one of three large credit agencies and contacted them to get a credit report? We need to do home financing and would like to automate the credit check..NET.

Most likely, it will be best to interact with a third party to get a credit score, working directly with the bureau, there may be a little pain associated with certificates and a little complexity in each bureau format.
