XMind or MindMeister?

I am considering buying the β€œPro” version of one of these applications to display the mind for upgrading from FreeMind and saving my mind maps in the cloud. Both of them support file extensions of this latter.

Are you using any of the above applications? What are their relative strengths and weaknesses? XMind was recently awarded as the Best Academy Project by SourceForge. MindMeister seems to have a nice iPhone app . I think both of them look promising, but which are the most customizable from a developers point of view?

(please answer if you have experience with both of these applications and know their differences)

Comparison of MindMeister and XMind

Both products are excellent and rightly are market leaders in the cloud mind mapping market.

Thanks to my personal experience, I’m much more comfortable brainstorming with MindMeister. The iPhone app and offline access are two things that I greatly appreciate.

Keep in mind that the MindMeister Pro version costs $ 10 a year more.

I cannot vouch for XMind, but I am a happy MindMeister client, and that did not fail me. In addition, there is an API for MindMeister that does not conform to XMind ... at least the last time I checked.

I use the free version of xMind and all I need. Until you consider the Pro version, I don’t need a reason for everyday use.
