What third-party components did you install in Dephi and why?

I am moving from D5 Enterprise to Delphi 2010. In the past I did not install third-party tools, but I upgraded to QReports Pro and TChart Pro.

I will write database applications, so there will be many attachments, updates and deletions. Database queries, search and filtering occur along with reports. I also want to provide PDF output as a print option. A.

I would like to hear from you which tools you like, which tools you use and why.

Take a look at RemObjects DataAbstract . It adds great database independence and interoperability and a good level of business logic.

TMS Software, almost everything they wrote, and the only reason it adds a style that the D2009 is still missing in part. They are not the best in the world, but they are quite free.

FIB Plus for accessing Firebird is just a very good set of components for the task.

and several other components that I use regularly or have a subclass of, for some reason.

First add DevExpress VCL (QuantumGrid and its editors), the TMS component package and report builder.

Then download the latest version of AsyncPro, and if Indy was not in the field yet, add Indy there too.

This small batch gives you one hell of an arsenal of Delphi :-)
