Android Browser Download Manager

Can I use the Android browser download manager to upload files to my application?

In the case of audio files, opening a remote url file using Intent.ACTION_VIEW with the data type "audio / *" causes the browser to start playing, but I would like to force the specified file to be downloaded.

Can someone say what it is? If the Download Manager is not part of the SDK.

The download manager is not part of the public SDK. You can download files from URLs through the HttpURLConnection or HttpClient , both parts of the Android SDK.

I am wondering the same thing. It seems like a waste of time to write a service that handles a download / resume / check connection, etc. When I just want to say downloadFile (URL myURL). Is there anything that could be reused? Android Market also has a bootloader ...
