Shortcut to add a link to a project in Visual Studio?

What is the keyboard shortcut to add a link to a project in Visual Studio 2008?

There is no default shortcut for this, but you can add it yourself:

  • Click "Tools" → "Options"
  • Select "Keyboard" in the list on the left.
  • At the show commands, type: Project.AddReference
  • Select the add link command, click the "Press Shortcut Keys" button, and select your own shortcut.

I would suggest something like CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + R , because the CAS combo has very few overlaps.

Ctrl + . displays a menu, then select the desired link to add

In Visual Studio, go to Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard

You can search for all keyboard shortcuts and reassign them if you want.

Project.AddReference looks out of the box out of the box, but you can set your own.
