Minicom does not commit data correctly

I have a problem when I connected my Linux server to the serial port. There is a continuous stream of data from the serial port that passes through epabx.

In Minicom, I get the data of the first call, and it disconnects from the second call. I do not see any data.

Can someone help me with this.

Thanks for the help you provided. Finally, I got an error. God knows how I began to receive data.

But still, I list the steps that I followed to get the right data.

Sometimes data from the serial port is not captured in the processing form application.

This may be due to the following issues.

1. The port is connected incorrectly. 2. The serial cable does not work. 3. Some pins on the serial port are damaged or the connection is lost. Note. First of all, you can contact the customer or the person in charge of epabx systems.

4. Dates that are not displayed on the hypertominal. This is a common linux problem that uses minicom as a hyperterminal.

Sol: Check the minicomputer version before running it on linux. If the version is minocom 2.1, then some process will block incoming data.

Uninstall minicom 2.1 and reinstall minicom 2.0

The gate 8 process is said to block incoming data.

minicom can respond to control characters in your data. I would recommend something simple but effective, like

od -t x1 -ta /dev/ttySomething

to dump your data both in hexadecimal and in text form.

You should also check that the port settings are correct, i.e. bit rate, parity, stop bits, flow control. Sometimes, when your settings are incorrect, you will get strange results. In addition, you need to check that your protocol sends only texts mentioned by Karl.
