Another ASP.NET AJAX SYS Undefined Error

Im on my minds ends here. I have an ASP.net 2.0 web project developed in VS 2008. The problem occurs in my dev XP system and our Windows 2000 and 2008 servers. The project uses AJAX 1 and links System.Web.Extensions 1.0.61025.0 and AJAXControlTookKit 1.0. 10618.0.

I am trying to use a ScriptManager and possibly a ToolKitScriptManager control to help embed javascript files.

Before I try to paste, I need to get rid of the terrible SYS undefined javascript error. In fact, if I use ScriptManager to include javascript files using the Path attribute, it works. SYS error still exists, but javascript files are included on the generated page and they work. I am currently working with a blank page containing only test text. This page is wrapped in MasterPage, which includes an empty ScriptManager.

When I debug this page, I get an error message in Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager (see the generated HTML code below).

I uninstalled and reinstalled AJAX, copied System.Web.Extensions to my bin, checked the settings of my web.config at least 50 times and was on so many pages of search results, forums and blogs that my head is spinning.

I know that probably something simple, I do not notice. My abbreviated code is below, can someone help me think this through and catch what I am missing.

I encountered this problem before,

find the javascript embedded files in ajaxtoolkit and view the modified date for it. and be sure that this will not happen in the future.

to verify this, check that the links are displayed in the viewource with * .axd and try to run eveyone, if you see someone responding to an error, here you find the problem.
