Flash Remoting and Java

I want to use Flash Remoting in my Flash application, which is supported by the Java server. I'm interested in my use cases for Flash Remoting with Java. I know about BlazeDS , but it seems to be completely focused on Flex, not Flash (AS3). I would like to make simple AMF calls, like in the old days.

If I can use BlazeDS for this, and if so, can someone tell me a good tutorial. Otherwise, are there other good solutions?

Luca, you can try to start with this article by James Ward http://www.infoq.com/articles/blazeds-intro to get to know what technologies are involved. In addition, I would like to consider the ClearToolkit framework ( http://cleartoolkit.com/dokuwiki/doku.php ). This tool allows you to create Java + Flex crud applications (dao, dto, configs) in a few minutes (tutorial - workshop http://www.cleartoolkit.com/documents/CDBGettingStartedWorkshop.pdf ). This is unobservable and can save time in the plumbing flex front and java + blazeDS interface. In addition, there is an alternative Flex remote solution called GraniteDS ( http://www.graniteds.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=229378 )

There should be no difference on the server side if it is flexible or pure AS3. In the latter case, use the Netconnection class, on which you will find examples with amfphp. Next to BlaseDs is openamf
