"Operation not yet implemented" Error

I have an asp.net web application. When I try to export a report through a crystal report, I get the following error:

Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\MainReport {7F8A9E9E-DD47-4D17-A44D-68D9478A792C}.rpt: Operation not yet implemented.

I use this code to export a report:

  ReportDocument reportDocument = reportSource.ReportDocument; reportDocument.SetDataSource(dt); Response.ClearContent(); Response.ClearHeaders(); reportDocument.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, false, "Report");

Thanks in advance.

Does your report have custom fonts? If so, this could be a problem. See link text

I had a similar problem, I found a description of the problem in:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102429

The solution to the problem can be found at:

https://blog.brankovucinec.com/2015/12/10/kb3102429-causes-crystal-report-export-to-pdf-to-fail/

Notes:

  • This problem occurs when you use a DataSet as a report data source. Sql and StoredProcedures this error did not occur
  • This problem occurs when you export a report to PDF using a DataSet as a data source, if you try to export to Excell and Word, this does not happen.

You must remove this update from your computer or server (if this is a problem).

1: go to control panel

2: Select View installed updates

3: Locate update KB3102429, and then select Uninstall.

If you cannot remove this update:

The problem only appears when exporting to PDF using a DataSet (Word and Excell are not affected), only if the report contains TNR or Arial (other fonts were not found, but not every font was tested) and only with versions the fonts if you change the fonts in your report on SergoeUI, your report (possibly) will work.

I had the same problem and I was fixed by uninstalling the latest Microsoft KB3102429 update. This is an optional update and you can safely remove it from your device.

I had similar problems exporting to PDF when there is a version conflict or when Adobe software is not installed on my computer. CR negotiates directly with Adobe libraries, and they must be compatible. In the past few years, Adobe has released so many versions of its Acrobat software (versions 6-8). It can be tricky.

Or another solution will again create a new crystal report and replace it with the old one.

Uninstall Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3102429 and KB3104002)

Control Panel → Program and Functions → View installed updates and Search for KB3102429 and KB3104002, right-click and delete.

I have got the same problem lately. The source of the problem was the latest Windows updates (Win 2008). I found that the FONTS standard (Arial, Times New Roman, etc.) has been updated. Therefore, I copied older versions of these fonts from my Windows 7 machine and installed them on top of the 2008 windows. After that, PDF export will start working again.
