Cappuccino on Windows

I am a Rails developer, and some Cappuccino Rails concepts look flawless. Can I develop Cappuccino applications on a Windows computer (Vista)?

Of course, as the docs say, you just need to add cygwin !

Believe me, I know how difficult it is to give up on asking “how to do this on my OS” and someone says “use another OS”. As a linux user in the Mac-oriented Rails community, I have heard this before. But you will encounter many problems with Ruby and / or Rails on Windows.

I think there is a good compromise. Install Ubuntu Linux (free) as another partition on your hard drive. Installing Ubuntu makes it easy to cut a small piece of your hard drive for yourself, no matter what size you want. In fact, every time I get a new laptop with Windows installed, I really didn’t want to, I install Ubuntu on most drives, but leave Windows on a small fragment. I paid for the license, I could also keep it.

After installing Ubuntu, Rails will become much easier and you don’t have to give up on Windows to do this. I think the dual boot option is a good one.

http://www.ubuntu.com contains everything you need.

Yes, you can develop! I personally do this on Windows 7. You simply cannot compile (at least I cannot, because I was unable to install Narvy for Windows). I just use the startup template for development. Another problem is that Windows does not have an Interface Editor, so for this you need to deal with coding! There are many plugins for syntax highlighting ob-j (Vim, Sublime Text Editor 2). Well, the ob-j code is compiled directly on the web page. Use this only for development purposes, if you want to use the application for production, please compile or your code can be easily stolen!
