IPhone and PayPal Apps

I want to integrate PayPal into my iPhone application without using the web interface, so the user does not need to leave the current application. How is this possible? Should I use a SOAP XML request / response mechanism? I go through the following link http://www.slideshare.net/paypalx/learn-how-to-use-paypal-api-to-monetize-your-mobile-app . It contains a slide in the Mobile Checkout application through the Mobile Web, which provides a sample user interface for accessing PayPal, but how can I implement the same thing? Is it legal to use PayPal to deliver virtuous goods / application functionality, or can Apple reject it? Thanks.

According to Apple's App Store Requirements, if you intend to sell:

  • Digital products, updates or subscription . Your only choice if Apple is in an App Purchase.
  • Charity donation . You must redirect the user to the site using Safari, you CANNOT use UIWebView inside the application.
  • Physical goods : you CANNOT use the Apple In App Purchase application, you need to use a website or any other method, such as the new PayPal library. (Apple will not receive a 30% discount on the sale of physical goods).
  • Personal donations : (for example, the famous β€œexpress your gratitude and buy me a cup of coffee”), you are again in point (1), and not on point (2).

Hi Sk, and welcome to Stackoverflow.

Apple is about to decline your application if you intend to use paypal in your application. I do not advise you to use it!

However, there is an appstore in the in-app purchase .

Henrik is absolutely right. I can confirm (from personal experience) that Apple will reject an application that requests payments in any way, except through inc-app purcahses.
