Can anyone recommend me a review of certificate management? I’m a big type of “learn from Wikipedia”, but the relevant data is general information about public key cryptography, and I’m going to compare this with practical knowledge of how certificates are used (browsing the web, exchanging information) messages, etc. )
I do not need detailed information at the moment, but I am looking for a general overview about such things as:
- The types of files that could be seen, and what information they contain.
- How certificates and hair clips are organized
- What certificates are used for me - I usually understand the basics, such as signing and encryption, but I know that they are used much more. For example, how are certificates used in a web browser or (for site verification) or HTTPS (for transmission)?
I am a Windows guy, so information on how certificates are organized and used on Windows (certificate store) will also be useful.
