IIS directory listing does not redo .mkv files

I use the directory listing feature in IIS to upload a bunch of files for friends and family, to easily access and download.

My problem is that the .mkv files list it, but when you click on it, I get "Could not find page."

Ive tried to move the file and rename it, but every time I get the same error. Why is he doing this? Its just my .mkv files everything else works fine.

Thanks in advance.

Have you added mmv mime type for your IIS server?

Adding a Mime Type Pass

use mkv and "video / x-matroska", where FLV and the flv mime type are used in this example.

IIS does not like to serve files with extensions for which it does not know the MIME type. This allows someone, for example, to receive web.config files (and, therefore, often login data for SQL Server, etc.) from some site that was not particularly careful in setting access rights.

The answers provided will enable IIS to serve .mkv files. However, you can use an alternative type of mime - video/webm . This will allow some browsers to play content rather than download it.
