Getting a senior job without years of experience

My manager at my current company feels that I am selling myself, getting another job, but as a senior. He feels that I sold myself short and missed a good salary, getting another junior job, given how he (my manager) really believes in my development skills.

However, I did not work long enough for a proper senior job (5 years +), but then the senior developer, whom we really have in my current company, did not receive senior tasks (judging by the complexity).

How do I get an older job if I lack commercial experience? My manager still feels without it, I have the ability / knowledge (I also help my manager with C #).

thanks

Network and see if a friend / colleague who knows your problem can help you get into something more at your level. If you are dealing with a stranger who is simply trying to put checks in a box, I don’t think you're lucky.

I think it's all about selling. Also, at some companies, they are promoting their developers to a "senior software engineer" in a year, for example, Accenture. The name does not necessarily have the required number of years of experience attached to it.

Try the work of a senior programmer and get a good referral letter from your current manager to help do your thing.

However, if you simply cannot make an argument, take the work of a junior programmer somewhere else and TEST them that you deserve to be a senior programmer. If your current manager is faithful, then it will not be difficult for you to do this.

Another line is to see if you can find companies looking for middle / senior developers, as this will be a way to get your foot in the door. And finally, do not forget that what one of the companies calls senior may not be the same as somewhere else, so you may not have much experience, but still get a senior title, because the company believes which can make him happier than other things.
