Delete a file from TortoiseHG

Question

I'm having problems deleting a file from Tortoise.

I am making a clone and there are some test files that I want to get. What is the procedure for deleting a file from the repository,

Right-click on the file (s) and select TortoiseHg → Delete Files ... and then confirm the dialogue. Be sure to save the changes to the local repository. Note that this will delete the file from disk and from Mercurial.

If you want to delete the file from Mercurial, but save the file to disk, you can click TortoiseHg → Forget Files .... Then you can add the file to your .hgignore list (this can be done graphically through the Commit or View File Status dialog boxes) so that you do not accidentally add it in the future. Then lock.
