Does it use the IBM Dojo Toolkit?

I was told that IBM no longer uses Dojo. It's true? A small amount of web searches shows that IBM is / is a member of the Dojo Foundation and is / is a source of code ... If this is true, approximately when IBM stopped using Dojo? If this is not so, to what extent is IBM still actively using and promoting the tools (use on its publicly accessible websites, product integration / bundling, etc.)?

Looking at http://bugs.dojotoolkit.org/timeline , I recognize the names of the IBMers: Bill, Peller, DouHays, ...

But you're right: Dojo + Domino (aka Dojomino) seems to be stopped ...

Disclosure: I am not an IBMer, but I am a Dojo Committer.

If IBM dropped Dojo, they’re doing a good job of this. ;-) Anyway, their installment rate has risen sharply last year and continues to grow. Just in time for Dojo 1.5, I published at least a dozen IBM contributions to Charting. One of the major new features in 1.5 will be the new Claro theme for widgets - developed and provided by IBM.

A number of contributors and committers work at IBM, some of whom have been hired because they are Dojo experts. As far as I can tell (I don't know any IBM secrets), their jobs are still safe.

In any case, although IBM is probably the largest sponsor of Dojo, it is not in the driver position, and Dojo can survive without their help. Although sponsorship is pleasant and always appreciated, the main driving force behind Dojo is passionate programmers, not corporations.

To summarize: don't worry about IBM's position.

Timothy.

Yes, IBM actively uses and supports Dojo.

Do not ask why I know this.;)

New IBM products use dojo (Rational Team Concert / Jazz). I believe that they are now trying to move in the direction of jDojo, although they help to overcome the obstacles of refactoring that they have encountered.

This is an old post, but Google has a high rating. From this date into the future, IBM is still taking Dojo seriously. It has powerful client support in WebSphere Application Server. It is currently standardized internally by the IBM One UI IDX Toolkit for its own websites. Dojo has a growing footprint in the client components of many of its products. IBM remains a significant factor.

@Ehsan, you put your finger on one of the biggest misconceptions in this area. The website of most companies has a separate team and a set of requirements for their website. It is not related to the products that the organization develops and ships, as well as to the libraries and structures that they choose to help them with this.

IBM is a very large development organization with 5 separate and different brands of software and many products in each, therefore, to ask if the whole organization is still using Dojo or not, it can be a little misleading. It is possible that some team or product has stopped using Dojo, but I can definitely say that many still do. In addition to being featured as a sponsor and contributor to Dojo on the Dojo Foundation website, current and recent events take place around Dojo.

One very interesting thing is JDojo, essentially a translator that allows you to write Dojo in Java, which is then translated, which gives you strong typing and Eclipse IDE functions. You can check his wiki page here: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/JDojo (registration required) or google some blog posts or twitter (until you can post links to this account)
