NSIS Silent Install changes default settings

I have a third-party application, I would like to disable the installation from the command line.

The PPLive app is available at: http://www.pptv.com/en/

It is an NSIS installer, and currently, when it is silently installed, it installs toolbars and additional pieces of software, starts shutdown, etc.

Without repackaging it, how can I control the checkbox options on the regular installer pages from the silent command line installation.

Is it possible?

You cannot manage components if the installer was not specifically defined for it (using the answer file /.ini or some parameter that you pass on the command line). NSIS itself allows the installer author to know if it is in silent mode or not, the rest is up to them. You will need to ask PPLive people (or ask them to add if they no longer support it)

NSIS supports the unattended installation option with the /S script command line, however it only sets a flag that script: IfSilent installation can set.

The following is an example script that demonstrated a silent installation.
