Emacs disappointment in web development of any working dot files?

I really liked the flexibility of emacs, but it is really annoying to make it work. I want to use it for web development html, css, javascript, php. First I tried emacs-starter-kit . It did not include nXhtml . Also, Cg key binding does not work (they call it the starter kit, but the main key command does not work). I think it displays for git control. This is a frustration for a beginner. Then I replaced emacs-starter-kit with nXhtml. At least Cg works. But code completion ends, M-tab does not work. I tried code completion from the nXhtml menu without success. Also NXhtml did'nt mode was coloring my file if css mixes with html. Is this not recommended for mixed html, css, php files. So why does this not work ?. Why don't Emacs people know about conditional configuration? Dame! the ship is something working! Please help me before I go crazy. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and emacs-snaphot-gtk 23.1.50-1. Please guide me step by step with your work url. Even I agree that I am a mannequin, it is really annoying and frustrating to use emacs.

Check here if you haven’t done so already. You are using Emacs under X. In this case, you should try if Esc-Tab works to complete the code. M-Tab may be lost for X to switch between processes.

Programs such as Emacs and Vim require you to spend time and energy before they begin to pay off. They pay for really good conditions if they do not interfere with real work. I suggest you take the time to get to know such programs before you get out.
