Rails, does my stylesheet fade magically?

Well, I just started the rails project ... when I initially loaded the page in which it was created, as intended. Without changing the code, the stylesheet disappears during the update. I thought it was an html / css error, but if I close my browser and open it again, the page will appear again. So it is not. I am in dev mode, so I do not think this is a cache problem. This happens both in firefox and in chrome.
