Android spinning wheel

Question

I'm trying to create a widget that looks like a “spinning wheel” (I'm not sure if this is the right name for it) a widget that you can use to set alarms or counters on the clock application that comes with HTC Hero. For those who do not know this application, this widget consists of wheels that you scroll to indicate hours, minutes, seconds. I think it may be something like its kind with a mask on it that isolate the selected item or costumized timePicker, but I can’t implement my widget, and I did not find a tutorial on this topic.

Is there an easy way to do this based on ListViews?

Does anyone have an idea?

Hey, there is one project that does this already, downloadable here . And this is not the only project of this kind. En plus, here is a tutorial on how to create such a wheel.
