Can I use Moles without using Pex?

Also, does anyone know when MS Moles will have a release candidate? I hesitate to use it in the Production system, not knowing in which direction it will work.

Yes. They are freely available in the Visual Studio Gallery.

While they can be packaged together, Moles is a completely separate product from PEX and can be used independently.

As for using it in production, if you use it only in your unit testing projects, you do not need to install Moles in your production environment, since it will only be used in testing.
