Ecommerce Gems for ROR?

I work as a project manager on a site with a shopping cart setup similar to Etsy (allowing users to sell their products and receive a small percentage of the sale). Although I expect my developer to answer this question, I believe that this will not hurt to ask if anyone recommends specific gems for such a setting of purchases in RoR or financial statements.

Regarding e-commerce software for Rails, Spree is the de facto standard in the Rails community.

Spree: http://spreecommerce.com , or you can use Shopify, http://shopify.com . You can create your own shopping app from scratch there, through the target interface.

I tried Spree and Substruct and updated the latter for Rails 2.x.

But most of us actually just use: Gamer ActiveMerchant, if an existing Rails application already exists, and we just need to create a way for the client to sell the product, for example.

If you need your developer to create financial statements, there are several stones like:

fastcsv and ruby sheet spreadsheet for exporting data to excel / csv format basic reporting of sales, orders, etc. easy to Rails.

It's too late to answer, but try http://www.ror-e.com

https://github.com/drhenner/ror_ecommerce

Disclaimer: I wrote it, but it is more developer friendly and launches you with a lot of best practices baked into. Good luck.
