IPhone Address Book: How to choose multiple contacts?

I would like to perform the same operation with multiple contact address book. Is the API available to select multiple contacts from the address book?

If this is not possible initially with the iPhone SDK, is there another alternative / library that does this simple thing?

You will almost certainly have to do it yourself. However, there are functions like ABAddressBookCopyArrayOfAllPeople() , which will provide you with a list of everyone in the address book. From there, it would be easy to drop this list into a table view and provide multiple choice.
