Display watched 3D models in a browser

Statement: I have a 3D model ready in Google SketchUp Pro.

Problem:

  • I need to display a model on a webpage.
  • I need a model to view (the user can navigate it, like on Google Earth).
  • I need a model for updating (if I update something in SketchUp, I should be able to easily transfer changes to a web page)

Question: How can this be done?

Note. I realized that VRML might be an option, but I was not able to launch this idea.

Have you researched the Sketchup Web Exporter plugin (still in beta at the time of writing)?

If this does not do what you need, you can write the plugin yourself using the Sketchup API , which allows you to write plugins in Ruby or C ++.

You can now use SketchUp in the browser and it should be able to read anything coming from SketchUp Pro. Check out https://my.sketchup.com
