Migrate SharePoint 2007 to 2010

Is it possible that the sharepoint 2007 web part will work in 2010 without any changes? If not, what are the main areas that will require changes?

Take a look at my series of posts about migrating a SharePoint WSPBuilder project to SharePoint 2010 .

Most likely, he will migrate without problems. If you use the ASP.NET namespace for inheritance for the web part (unlike SharePoint), you'll be fine.

SharePoint OM also has not changed. Many changes relate to how you can access data (client object models), workflow changes, etc.

Of course the test :)

Most of your code is likely to work as expected. Please note that due to more stringent compliance with W3C standards, you may encounter some user interface problems (it really depends on how strictly you were in the first place, IE quirks does not work).

Also pay attention to changes in the functionality of SSP, well, this time SSP no longer exists. Namespaces associated with user profiles, etc., have been changed, and now your code may be corrupted.
