What are good Perl Pattern-matching / Regex Modules?

Lately I need to do a lot of regular expression / pattern stuff, and looking at different examples / forum posts from my searches on the internet, it seems people sometimes mention that perl has some nice modules that help simplify the matching / regular task pattern however, they neglect to mention which ones are the best for this .. I looked at CPAN for this, but their site is not very easy to navigate, because I can’t efficiently search by category. Any advice is appreciated.

Can I suggest perl6-esque Regexp :: Grammars if you are doing something really complicated and you need to write a grammar - this is really awesome. I just used it to parse several SQL commands for my perl postgresql shell: pgperlshell

Many regex features are available initially in perl. Probably the best way to simplify understanding of perl regular expressions is to read the excellent perl regular expression tutorial at http://perldoc.perl.org/perlretut.html
