If you are looking for a Windows-based solution, there are several products available that will allow you to map a drive to an S3 bucket. For this purpose we use the TnTDrive product. (Please note that we are in no way associated with the creators of this product) Downloading files through CKEditor will go through a mapped drive, while client browsers will download these files directly from S3. No matter which product you use config, it is simple:
- Create a disk mapping
- Add read-only policy to cart
- Change the
config.baseUrl and config.baseDir in your CKFinder to point to the bucket and new drive.
Hope this is helpful.
