Any good domain design book?

I am trying to find a good, simple introduction to domain-based design, but it's complicated.

The books I looked at have the same problems.

  • They are massive over 300 pages. I really want this practice to change with the help of computer books.

  • They shine in chapter 1, explaining introductory and basic concepts. Then, when it comes to penetrating the material, they penetrate advanced concepts with poor examples and little explanation, then move on to the next concept.

I ask too much when I ask if there is a book for a project managed by a domain under 300 pages that is advancing at a constant pace?

I hate it when books spend so much time on introductory concepts, but don't worry when explaining more advanced things.

  • Update

  • The reason I need a book with a book on page 300 is because these 500+ page monsters have a lot of fluff in them and it seems that they can't get to the point (or even skip).

Try this option - it is available online in InfoQ. On the plus side, it's free. On the other hand, it may be too difficult for you. If you want an introduction, but of course, these are the basic concepts that you want to get before you delve into advanced topics?

There's also another free download, DDD Step by Step - a really short introduction to DDD, just 34 pages.
(and the corresponding Think DDD webpage)
