Although this is not a classic eai book, I like Dave Chaplell's Enterprise Service Bus → it draws attention to many integration issues and gives a rough understanding of some key principles of “modern integration”
The already mentioned enterprise integration patterns are also very good for immersing in some kind of conceptual background.
