Html- / styling-tooltips on google maps api v3

I’m trying to understand how Google adds images and styles to their tooltips that appear above the markers on google maps.

An example of the desired behavior can be seen here:

http://maps.google.es/maps?oe=utf-8&q=hotels+in+sydney

If you hover over one of the hotel’s markers, you will see different styles (bold text, plain text), paragraphs or line breaks and images for the hotel’s star rating. As far as I can see from the docs, these tooltips are created by providing each marker with a "title" attribute ... however, any HTML in this attribute is escaped; you can get a tooltip that looks like this:

<p class="tooltip-text">This doesn't work!</p> <image src="/images/myimage.png" />

... which is not the desired result.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Check these tools . There is also an infobox setting, which largely replaces the default value, but retains all the properties. Hope this helps!
