Are there any reasons why you don’t want to use the Static Analyzer every time you create an iOS application?

I dive into iOS, and I just found out about the static analyzer, and it pointed out all kinds of errors that I made in the code. The static analyzer does not actually take too much time to create, and so I wonder why it is not turned on by default.

Are there reasons why you would not want to use Static Analyzer every time you create an iOS application?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mainly because it’s an extra time when you create your application. Your application is probably quite small or you notice a difference. When your application takes 10-20 minutes to compile, you will most likely run static analysis “from time to time”. Before you do this, have a good time.

No, I use it all the time. It is not possible to get sufficient help to track all the errors :-)
