A newly created view does not appear in ClearCase explorer: how can I see it?

I created a view using the ClearCase Explorer.

But after creating it, the view does not appear in the list of views in Explorer.
I tried to close the explorer and start again. But do not use ...
What would you suggest?

I would recommend the following procedure:

  • open windows dos
  • goes to the root of your view ( c:\path\to\myView for snapshot views, M:\MyView for dynamic viewing)
  • type ' clearexplorer . (note the "space" after the clearexplorer )

It must:

  • open your ClearCase Explorer directly in the correct view
  • add the correct view shortcut

Sometimes the ALBD service for ClearCase does not start, because of which you will not be able to view the views of the transparent cell.

To solve this problem,

Go to the control panel for the Windows machine and restart the cleaning services in the ClearCase properties and try and verify.

Views will now be shown.
