IPad Splitview Template and Modal Views

Question

I am trying to make a modal view inside a SplitView template.

I can do this, but if you turn on the device or just click on the modal view, it will disappear for everything.

How can I do full screen view? I tried every modal style, but the modal presentation will never stick.
