Can Sonatype Nexus post indexes after commit?

We have a Nexus repository that contains our software (surprise ...). In our IDEs we have added repositories, so we can focus on them visually.

Problem: in the IDE, an .index folder (with a gz file) is used, which is updated every night.

I want: if someone adds an artifact, .index should be updated automatically. Is it possible?

What I do not want is to make the index update the most minutes.

Exporting an index to a consumable binary and splitting the indexes is not a trivial process, so it is not configured to allow publishing every time a release or snapshot is published. This is also a waste, as it is unlikely that index consumers are updated every n seconds.

Internal indexes, however, are updated in real time, and searches with the Nexus interface will have the latest and largest. We are working on a tighter integration of IDE and Nexus internal indexes to eliminate the publishing / consumption cycle.
