QuickLook plugin displaying image and some information

I'm currently writing a QuickLook plugin, and I am wondering how I can simultaneously display an image and some information about this image, like http://www.code-line.com/software/sneakpeekphoto/ .

There is only one way: to convert your content into already supported. This means either PDF or HTML. There are two options:

  • For static information, you create a simple PDF view by creating a PDF view. (Use the -dataWithPDFInsideRect: NSView method)
  • For dynamic information, create an HTML page with links, etc. QuickLook will show this. (I think this is also the way your example does this.)

We did not find a way to create complex previews on our own ear and had to stick to one of the methods. Keynote and Pages do the same thing - they convert their presentations into multi-page PDF previews ...
