Eclipse intellisense with Android SDK

I am using the latest version of the Android SDK (2.1-update1 - level 7), but I find that intellisense is pretty bad in Eclipse. Is it just me or is anyone else having problems with intellisense with the Android SDK?

Configure Eclipses content support, go to Settings> Java> Editor> Content Assist> Advanced. Make sure Other Java Suggestions is checked.

I had the same problem with ADT, here is how I solved it:

  • Follow the link: Windows> Preferences> Java> Editor> Content Assist> Advanced

  • Then check everything Java says.

  • Solved!

There are also no problems. If i write

LinearLayout layout = new LinearLayout(this);

And then

 layout.

There are many suggestions. You must enter until you get the point. After the point you will receive these offers :)

in fact, you don’t even need to press Ctrl + Space - the sentence should appear after entering ".". and

to make sure: do you know that you need to install the ADT plugin for Eclipse in addition to the Android SDK when developing in Eclipse?

try this : instead of running only on "." it starts for all letters

if none of these works tries this: Window β†’ Settings β†’ General keys in the text of the type "filter type": content support select and change the binding to whatever you want

I did it in CTR + TAB in my case

Your computer may be using CTR + SPACE for other programs.
