Does GWT support HTML5? I mean especially Canvas and WebSockets?

Most browsers still do not support these technologies without plugins, so direct support is not available.

WebSockets also requires server-side support, and most servers do not yet support it. for WebSockets in GWT, you can download this and use it:

I wrote a GWT library for handling multimedia elements (video and audio). It allows you to fully control the program and provides access to all events that should have been triggered by elements. Everything is completed in a beautiful combination of widget / GWT element.
