Android video recording

How do I need to record a video of an OpenGL application?

So far, my plan of attack has been to take individual screenshots and then launch them through a video encoder.

Does anyone know of any sample code that I can look at, or have any suggestions on what I can look at?

I am looking for an OpenGL application for shooting in a frame and saving it as video content.

Like Android 4.4, there is a screen recording function available through adb.

http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html#screenrecord

The screenrecord command is a shell utility for recording displays of devices running Android 4.4 (API level 19) and higher. The utility writes screen activity to an MPEG-4 file, which can then be downloaded and used as part of the video presentation. This utility is useful for developers who want to create promotional or educational videos without using a separate recording device.
