An open source library or an easy iPhone sticking detection method?

I know that there is an application for the iPhone that allows you to combine your phones (called "Bump", of course), but there is an open source library that allows you to connect to another phone with "stumbling" phones ...? Is there an existing iOS API that will allow this?

Bump has its own official API , but I'm not quite sure it is open source, since you need to register an API key with them before you get it. Here's a tutorial iPhone app .
