C # listening to microphone

Hi

Is it possible to listen to the microphone in C # (.NET) and do something when the volume goes to some point? We have an Avaya desktop, and I would be glad if I could see when it rings on the monitor. I would like to make a practical tool for monitoring this call with a microphone glued to the speaker.
